Afternoon Tea – The essence of elegance in luxury retreats

Afternoon Tea, also known as High Tea, originated in England in the early 19th century. The founder of this tradition was Anna, the Duchess of Bedford. During the period between lunch and dinner, Anna often felt hungry and requested a light meal consisting of tea, bread, butter, and pastries around 4 PM. This habit quickly spread among the aristocracy and became an integral part of their social life.
